Youth News is a regular email service which provides sectoral news alongside programme and funding opportunities. It is circulated to a readership of 700+ including youth clubs, regional voluntary youth organisations, government departments, MLAs, Education Authority, policy makers, practitioners, sponsors and various grant giving trusts and foundations.

Play Matters - Playing with nature, mud and getting dirty
Play Matters Den Building event will take place in Belfast on March 12th. This is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland and certainly reinforces the play messages promoted through the Play Matters project.
A free 6 hour ‘Keeping Children Safe Training’ course will be held for Boys & Girls Clubs members at our Belfast Offices this April.
The course supports staff and volunteers interested in learning about or revising their knowledge of safeguarding practices when working with young people.

Boys & Girls Clubs recently enjoyed a residential near Ballycastle.
It was great to see so many young people getting involved in fun activities, making new friends and enjoying their few days break. We look forward to our next residential this weekend in Fermanagh.
Boys 5-A-Sides Tournament
Boys & Girls Clubs annual 5-A-Sides Tournaments for Boys Under 16's begins on the 10th March 2019.
This competition is for youth clubs and the winning team and Fair Play Award winner will advance to our UK Youth Championships in Manchester.
The Irish Youth Foundation are happy to announce the applications for their annual grants are now open.
Grants are awarded annually to a wide range of welfare, educational and cultural groups working with disadvantaged young Irish people and their families around Britain and Northern Ireland
Projects based in Northern Ireland should use the Northern Ireland Grant Application form. Applications can be made up to £10,000, however grants awarded are usually in the region of £5,000.
Boys & Girls Clubs is a Regional Voluntary Youth Organisation that works to support and represent a membership of over 150 youth clubs and youth organisations with a collective membership of some 15,000 young people across Northern Ireland. Working alongside our membership and network we involve, support and enable young people, particularly those from disadvantaged and less fortunate backgrounds, to participate in positive activities, new experiences and learning opportunities.
