Art Biz
A beacon of hope and courage
on the corner of Beacon and Centre.

One of the great tasks of leadership is 'defining reality'. It is a difficult task because "reality" is always changing. The world we once thought of as physical is not actually physical at all, but energy.  The world is not made up of particles but energy.

As uncomfortable as people can be with the word spiritual, it's not far off from the word energy. You can't see it, but you can point to it when it's working. In this sense, the Council has certainly been doing spiritual work.

Now our Council needs your help.

"Great gifts mean great responsibilities; greater gifts, greater responsibilities." Luke 12:48

We are the recipients of great gifts:
first and foremost, the gift of the Gospel of Grace in Jesus Christ. Second, the gift of the legacy of that early band of Christ followers who found their way from Palestine to Newton Centre.
The third gift is our life together, becoming a unique place and people of hope and courage for all.

Our Council has been bearers of great responsibility and now they need your help.

The first step is this Sunday: receive and respond -
following worship receive the gift a shared meal and
respond to the work the Council has done in the last twelve months with your thanks, with your questions, with your concerns, and with your helping hands.

Saturday!
Snow Tubing at Nashoba Valley Tubing Park on Saturday, February 16. Meet at 11:30 a.m. at the entrance: 179 Great Road Littleton, MA 01460. RSVP: joshua.l.lyons@gmail.com or john@fbcnewton.org.
