MORE ART UPSTAIRS screening Tuesday, February 19, 7:30 PM

Date: Tuesday, February 19th
Time: 7:30pm
Location: Calvary Chapel

MJPR and Art present MORE ART UPSTAIRS that follows four artists who venture outside Manhattan’s art world to vie for critical recognition and to win over the public, who vote on which art wins half of the $500,000 prize money. A panel of art world experts awards the other grand prize. They each choose decidedly different art. An engaging exploration, MORE ARTUPSTAIRS captures the debates ArtPrize has triggered: Can culture be democratized? Should artists need or want to connect with audiences? Who gets to decide what is art? What does any of this have to do with what's happening in our country today?
