Reed Parent Trivia Night Details

This event is sold out, but you can still enter the raffle!

This year's raffle item is TEN park hopper passes to Walt Disney World! Raffle tickets will be sold in advance of the event and at the event, so you don't need to attend Trivia Night to purchase a ticket. Tickets are $50 each or 5 for $200. If you are purchasing in advance, please make your check out to RSA and put in RSA mailbox at school and be sure your email and phone number are on the check.

Trivia Night Payment: If you've signed up to attend Triviia Night, don't forget to pay! The cost is $40 per person. Checks made out to RSA can be dropped off in the RSA mailbox at Reed or you can Venmo your payment to @ReedSchoolAssociation. You can pay as a complete table ($400) or have each individual/couple pay separately. If you are paying for others, please list all the names in the comments on Venmo or in the memo line on your check.

We need donations for the candy bar! Please bring a few bags of your favorite candy to the Reed office this week or next! Don't forget to bring cash for raffles, games, the candy bar and other surprises, too!

2019-2020 RSA Executive Board Opportunities

Reed School Association (RSA) is seeking volunteers for open executive board positions. Each role is a two-year commitment, with monthly meetings during the school year (day and time TBD). These roles are a great way to be involved at Reed and are open to all parents/guardians!

We are currently seeking candidates for the following roles:

VP Events: The VP of Events oversees all RSA-sponsored events to ensure that co-chairs are supported in their planning and execution.
VP Community: The VP of Community oversees all activities that promote and sustain a sense of community at Reed.
VP Fundraising: The VP of Fundraising oversees all RSA fundraising events. Through supporting event co-chairs, this role helps to ensure financial goals for each event are met.
VP Communications: The VP of Communications oversees all communication-related activities at Reed keeping families informed of events and opportunities at Reed and throughout the district.

We are also seeking volunteers for committee chair roles, but will start that process in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can see all the committee chair roles on the RSA roster.

Back by Popular Demand! 3rd Annual Reed Pet Photoshoot

On Saturday, April 13th, former Reed parent Brook Palanca will work with a pet trainer on set, at her air conditioned studio in Ladue, to get your dog to do their best tricks & licks for the camera. There will be a groomer on site in case your pet needs a little fluffing before their big shoot.

Full session fee of $50 to be donated to RSA. Images will be artistically and creatively edited- worthy of hanging on your wall! Images are high resolution digital files that will be delivered to you in an online gallery and are available for purchase. Ask Brook about adding your kids to the shoot for an additional fee. This is an event you don't want to miss!

Notes from the Nurse

Please remember to pack a seasonably appropriate change of clothing for your student. Students in all grade levels may need a change of clothing for the following reasons: muddy or wet clothing from recess, potty accident, nosebleed, spilled food on clothing, etc.

The nurse's office is always in needs of pants in all sizes 5T through 14/16. Remember us when doing your spring cleaning!

Banana Splits Group

“Banana Splits” is a group designed for children in kindergarten through fourth grade whose families are going through, or have gone through, a change or transition. The primary purpose of the group is to provide a safe, like minded place where children can discuss feelings and concerns.

Your child does not need to be having problems to benefit from the group. As children move through each developmental stage, different issues concerning separation, divorce and remarriage may arise. It is often helpful to open lines of communication for your child. Once Mrs Gartenberg, the Reed School Counselor, knows who will be participating, she will work out a schedule that works best for each grade level. She will notify you when our groups begin.

Follow Reed's Instagram Account!

Thanks to Ms. Badalamenti, Reed has an Instagram account @reedschoolpanthers. She posts pictures regularly so check in out! She plans on putting as many events as possible on there. She will also use the hashtags #wearereed and #reedrocks. If you have pictures from an event and you want her to put those pictures up, use those hashtags and she'll find them and post them.

Coach Plogger and Coach Driscoll would like to remind everyone that all students are required to have tennis shoes for PE class.

It is important for your child's safety and comfort that they either wear tennis shoes to school or change into their tennis shoes before PE class. A complete list of approved and unapproved shoes are available on the PE website if you have any questions.
