Last Weekend at GHC

 

What a weekend for our Senior Teams!

All twelve teams in action and undefeated with 10 teams winning and two draws!

Forty-one goals scored with 16 conceded including three clean sheets!



And then on Sunday, our Ladies and Men's 1st teams both progressed to Round 4 in the knockout EH Tier 2 Championships, the Men winning 5-0 over Mid-Sussex and the Ladies progressing through a walkover, their opposition having pulled out of the competition.

Also on Sunday the Under 18 Boys progressed to the Semi-Final of their EH Tier 1 knockout Cup with a win over Sevenoaks. Plenty of drama as the boys went 2-0 (not having conceded a goal in the first three rounds of the competition), clawed their way back to 2-4 up and then had two goals scored against in the waning moments of the match. The boys faced their second successful sudden death penalty shoot-out in three weeks and progress to the next round!

This Weekend at GHC

 
The Ladies 1s have a break tomorrow before next week which will see them play three matches.

Other senior teams in action include the Men's 2s, 3s and Pilgrims all at home. And the Men's 1s away to Staines hoping to continue their unbeaten run.

Sunday is half term so relatively quiet for the Juniors but we do have 5 home fixtures including the Under 16 Boys in the EH Cup Tier 1 against local rivals Surbiton. And a few away fixtures as well.

Godalming Run - Sunday 19 May

Sport Godalming organise these challenging 5k and 10k races through the countryside and around Godalming in the heart of the Surrey Hills, including a section through the grounds of Charterhouse - picture postcard stuff, plus there is a great 1k Fun Run for the kids.

The Godalming run was first established as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012 and to celebrate the London Olympics.

Since then the event has attracted thousands of entrants and raised over £17,000 for the Sport Godalming Champions Fund, Go for Gold, which supports local Godalming based athletes in their bid for Olympic stardom.

Please remember and also let your opposition know that dogs and smoking are not permitted at Broadwater (Council Laws).

Please also note that the time listed below and on the GHC website Fixtures Live feed for home fixtures is the pushback time. You need to start your match/event at this time and vacate the pitch 75 minutes later to allow the following fixture on-pitch warm-up time so they can start on time.
