Monday, February 18, 2019
Dear all,
Happy President's Day – the office is closed today, but we'll be back at your service tomorrow morning. Hope you are enjoying the holiday!
Next Sunday, February 24, we're having a special coffee hour to celebrate Karen Andersen, long-time and beloved member of St. Alban's, as she prepares to to move and begin enjoying her retirement.
(Rumor has it that Dale and Christine Bruso may also be in church!)
Before worship, the Ina Lawrence Fund (outreach grants) Committee will meet at 9 am in the library. If you have suggestions for 2019 grants, or are just curious, please join us.
Congregation Beth El has again invited us to their Interfaith Havdalah. A number of us attended this short and beautiful service last year (marking the end of the Sabbath), then went to members' homes for dinner and conversation. Interested? Please click here to rsvp and for more information. The service is at 6 pm on Saturday, March 2 at Beth El. (Directions in the link above).
Lent is just around the corner! More about that next week, but please make a note of these upcoming dates/events:
Shrove Tuesday, March 5
Pancake supper/races, 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall
Ash Wednesday, March 6
Services at 12 noon and 7 pm in the sanctuary
First Sunday in Lent: March, 10.
Have a beautiful week.
In love and gratitude,
Rev. Julie
