The Marriage of Vladimir & Maira

In November, we celebrated the marriage of Vladimir and Maira Ayala. Maira came to our Children's Home in 2004 with her brother, Oscar. For us, Maira's restoration is a miracle; and the fact that she is now a teacher in our school and married after sustaining a Godly friendship and engagement to Vladimir is one of the greatest rewards we could ever ask for.

Graduating Two Of Our Own

In December, we celebrated Oscar and Cesia finishing their season at Faith Academy. Both Oscar and Cesia have attended our school since its opening in 2012; Oscar came to our Children’s Home in 2004 with his sister Maira; and Cesia came that same year next to her family when her dad admitted himself into our rehab program. Seeing these young kids live a full life in spite of their difficulties fills us with joy!

Building Teams within Local Businesses

We challenged many more local businesses with our personalized and unique Team Building, we even had a team from the US Embassy come by! Our innovative puzzles, tests, competitions, and physical activities stretch the individual's mind and the team’s strength to strategize together. We always have a blast!

Stepping Into Great Opportunity

Starting in the winter, Steps by FTO has had the opportunity to display and sell our shoes at a vendors fair every weekend called Bazar de Sabado. The team with Steps continuously works to create new shoes, designs, and products.

Rebuilding a Ministry House

A construction team from the Rock of Gainesville partnered with us and Gateway Church to rebuild one of the homes on property to house one of our families on staff. The before and after photos are incredible. We are grateful for these teams that come with a serving heart and passion for the Lord and for the generosity of our family in Christ!

Our Christmas

We once again hosted the kids from Casa Hogar Langue for a few weeks so they could spend the holidays with our kids from Prince of Peace Children’s Home. We all gathered for Christmas with the Hughes, family-style. Each received a gift and bear-hug from the family. We had a great time in fellowship and honoring Jesus and His birth. All this was possible thanks to the faithful contributions of God’s people, we are always grateful for their love.

Christmas with Jesus

We hosted our annual Christmas event for 300 kids in town: Christmas with Jesus! They come to enjoy games, a plate of food, new hair-dos, more snacks, and gifts from the ministry. We cherish the time to bring smiles to their faces and shine the light of Christ!
