State Deputy, Paul Zielinski
Please join me in congratulating three outstanding District Deputies: DD10 Rick Burmeister, DD 21 Ted Shay and DD26 George Knezevich. They have done a great job of promoting, guiding, and communicating the Indiana K of C membership and program to their councils . . .
Council Officer Regional meetings are scheduled for the morning of Saturday 3/2/19 and 3/9/19, and all officers should attend the closest meeting . . .
Get registered, book a room, appoint delegates and get ready to celebrate "Knights of Charity" at our State Convention on 3-4-5 May 2019 . . .
I challenge every Knight to ask a good Catholic man to join the Knights of Columbus this month. Your simple ask may be the spark that leads a man to strengthen his faith, be a better husband, be a better father. (See the COMPLETE message with more topics and all the gaps filled in HERE on his State Deputy webpage.)

As we approach the Lenten season, many Faith in Action program activities can serve us and our parish communities. Please meet with your parish leadership and Priest to discuss what your council can do this holy time of year. As a leader of your council, plan activities that will create Holy Moments and teach faith formation ...

- council #2111 Aurora said their council will continue to sponsor a billboard for the next 4 months.

As Lent quickly approaches (begins Wednesday, March 6th) consider those many opportunities for prayer and serving the Church that will be available as we all try grow in our faith and build up the Church. The Spiritual Reflection Program would be an awesome beginning . . .
The Knights of Columbus sponsored Race for Vocations is fast approaching – May 3rd & 4th. Consider participating and attending this event, which supports all Vocations in front of over 30,000 people at the Mini Marathon, Indy. Please ask your Grand Knight about the event and then complete the Council Participation form and submit it to me. The greatest needs are volunteers for the water station located on the course, and council or individual monetary sponsorship for all activities . . .

There were great readings on a recent Sunday that help in explaining why it is so important grow and promote our faith along with the Knights of Columbus. In the Gospel Peter is told not to be afraid, because from now on you will be catching men. In the second reading St Paul tells us why we need to be casting our nets; because Christ died for or sins, was buried, and that he was raised on the third day.
AMEN !! VERY INSPIRATIONAL. So as Knights let’s all be fishermen of men and continually cast our nets ... March is traditional ORDER WIDE Church Drive month . . . Read More...

Community Director

Please review the Activity Tracker to make sure you are getting credit…I have been sent many scanned forms that I had not previously received in the e-mail system. I am pleased that 163 activities were reported by 70 councils. However, this does mean that 136 councils have not reported any Community activities yet . . . please remember to comply with the SAFE Environment program to work with youth at both the Supreme level as well as your Diocesan requirements. Remember that if you do not comply with the SAFE Environment program, you will not win any awards and we all need to make sure we are protecting our youth in every way we can. The DDs have reports that show which councils are not yet in full compliance. Let’s get this done! Read More...
