Wellington artist announced for Indigenous Exchange

Congratulations to Māori artist Ana Iti who has been selected as the inaugural Canberra Wellington Indigenous Exchange Artist. Ana will come to Canberra for a six week residency in May 2019.

She will carry out a research project based on the complexities of learning Indigenous languages. Ana will also look at how the process of learning and pursuing language affects us and how in turn, this is reflected in the use of writing and text as it's displayed in Indigenous art practices.

We are looking forward to welcoming Ana and showing her what the Canberra arts sector has to offer.
