DigiSafe Updates
Some schools have been in touch this week about social media challenges and a particular one which has been in the press. Please don’t share warnings about this but help to break the cycle of publicity. There are plenty of things to share with pupils and parents in a positive way though, and you can address the scary things in ways that don’t make things worse. Have a look at, or sign up to the LGfL DigiSafe newsletter on this topic from earlier this week here (or sign up at the same link). You can also see a template letter to parents that we’ve drafted for you – it’s been added at the top of our SafeBlog post about scaring v. preparing parents and pupils.
The DigiSafe team has been busy with other things too, such as screentime.lgfl.net which is another good one for parental engagement, and syv.lgfl.net (Serious Youth Violence – gangs, knife crime and beyond).
