COLORFUL ABSTRACTS

We are honored to have Alameda floating home resident, Emily Weill, exhibiting her stunningly colorful abstracts at our satellite gallery, Eyewise Optometry, beginning February 11, 2019. Emily shows in galleries all over the Bay Area and beyond.

Conceptual Art at The Lodge

This is a group exhibit at The Lodge, a Frank Bette Center for the Arts satellite gallery. The open group call for art theme is "Conceptual Art". Conceptual art, sometimes referred to as conceptualism, is art which the concept(s) or idea(s) involved in the work take a precedence over the traditional aesthetic, technical, material concerns. If you need further definition please search Wikipedia, Google Images and other on-line resources for reference. Artwork is limited to framed 2D photographs, paintings and sketches. Artists are encouraged to be creative and push their skills.

ELECTRICAL UPGRADE
We have completed the First Phase of our electrical upgrade on the second floor: two rooms with new increased service, plugs and lights. But there is more to do. The rest of the second floor needs work. Please be generous with your donation to complete the upgrade.

Exciting News!
For years we have been trying to make our backyard more appealing. We finally have a beautifully paved backyard thanks to two Grants from Alameda Community fund and a generous donation from Genie Scott. The work was done by Carl David Landscaping.
