Stay Alert - thieves at work!
View this email in your browser
Dear <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>

In the last 48 hours three incidents have been brought to our attention.

Someone in Woolavington was disturbed in the early hours of the morning and saw a female’s arm sticking through the letterbox in what was thought to be an attempt to find the keys to the van parked outside!

A Catcott member reports having two wooden planters with bay trees and flowers, together probably worth £100, lifted from outside their front door whilst they were away over last weekend. A newspaper laying on the door mat is suspected of giving the thieves an indication that the property was unoccupied.

We are unaware whether these events have been reported to the police, but both should have been if not. In the first I think a 999 call would have been justified.

The arm through the letter box serves as a reminder not to leave or keep any keys near any door or to leave your key in the lock.  The theft of planters illustrates how important it is to make your property look occupied when it isn’t.  If your door has glass panels find a way of screening the lower half, so that post or papers on the mat cannot be seen from outside.

Overnight of 23-24 February, a Red and Grey Massey Ferguson 35 Vintage Tractor Registration 956 BYC was stolen from the Nether Stowey.
If you have any information regarding this incident, please call 101 Quoting Reference Number 5219040894 or Text 07492888109.
