Shrove Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.  Traditionally Lent is a time of fasting and penitence in preparation for the celebration of Easter. Shrove Tuesday is celebrated around the world in different fashions.  It is a day of feasting prior to the 40 day fast of Lent.

This year the Covenant Group is inviting you to a Shrove Tuesday Supper in Fellowship Hall at 6:00 P.M., on March 5th.  There will be a variety of foods (including gluten free and vegan) – ham, baked pancakes, egg casseroles, fruit, etc.
Please join us for a relaxing supper and chance to get to know each other better.  There is a sigh-up on the new Worship Bulletin board by the Hannaford table, or you can let Darby know in the office, to give us an idea of numbers for planning.  However, if you find you can come at the last minute—we would welcome you!
