A big thank you to Mr Tommy Kirkham for taking the Aftermath of World War 1 group participants on a best practice visit to Co Cavan on the 23rd of February. It was a long journey but well worth it really bringing the whole thing together to see what life was like for the men and women who went off to fight and the impact on those at home. The trench was really interesting and it was amazing to see what it would have been like on the front line in the battlefields. We even got a brief talk on the Easter rising and the destruction that it caused in Dublin. A thank you again to Tommy Kirkham and Carrickfergus Community Forum for the opportunity to participate in such an informative and engaging programme.

On the 26th of February ten women from the Woodburn and Sunnylands Women’s Community Forum  got together and headed up to the Belfast Titanic Tour. They all thoroughly enjoyed the visit and said it was like traveling back in time, they all learned so much. But better than that they all felt the bonding and the friendships that were made that day were the best aspect of the trip. We
will be seeing a lot more from these girls! Well done to everyone involved.
