On the 26th of February ten women from the Woodburn and Sunnylands Women’s Community Forum got together and headed up to the Belfast Titanic Tour. They all thoroughly enjoyed the visit and said it was like traveling back in time, they all learned so much. But better than that they all felt the bonding and the friendships that were made that day were the best aspect of the trip. We
will be seeing a lot more from these girls! Well done to everyone involved.

Access NI Enhanced Checks
Carrickfergus Community Forum is a registered Umbrella Body with Access NI. This means that we submit enhanced criminal record checks for community organisations in Carrickfergus. Access NI authorises umbrella bodies to provide these services to organisations.

Irish Youth Foundation Funding Grants Now Open!
The Irish Youth Foundation are happy to announce the applications for their annual grants are now open.
Grants are awarded annually to a wide range of welfare, educational and cultural groups working with disadvantaged young Irish people and their families around Britain and Northern Ireland
Projects based in Northern Ireland should use the Northern Ireland Grant Application form. Applications can be made up to £10,000, however grants awarded are usually in the region of £5,000.

Church of Ireland Priorities Fund
Since 1980, the General Synod Priorities Fund (generally known as the Priorities Fund) has supported projects within the Church of Ireland. Every parish is asked to contribute to the Fund and the amount raised is allocated to the following categories: Training (Lay and Ordained), Christian Education, Outreach Initiatives and Innovative Ministry in a Rural Context.

John Ellerman Foundation
One of the largest grant-making trusts in the UK. National Churches Trust: Cornerstone Grants
The Trust supports places of worship of historic, architectural and community value used by Christian denominations in the UK. The Cornerstone Grant Programme offers grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 towards the cost of urgent structural repair projects costed at more than £100k inc VAT. They will also consider projects that introduce kitchens and accessible toilets to enable increased community use, costed at more than £30k inc VAT.

Community Innovators Programme opens for applications
Following the legacy of Building Change Trust who with WorkWest delivered two successful cycles of this programme in 2017 and 2018, the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland is delighted to announce the Community Innovators Programme will re-open for applications on 1st March thanks to funding from the Hospital Saturday Fund. The programme is free to access and is for organisations who would like support to explore and develop new solutions to a real world social challenge. The focus of this cycle will be on health and wellbeing related challenges. All organisations completing the programme will be eligible to apply for the Foundation's Social Innovation Seed Fund. Information workshops will be held in Belfast, Omagh and Newry in March and details can be found on the Social Innovation NI website.

National Vegetarian Week
As part of National Vegetarian Week, small grants of up to £200 are available and larger grants of up to £2000 to help fund community activities and events by Not for profit organisations in the UK (e.g. community groups, schools, housing associations, youth clubs, Cubs, Brownies, Scouts or Guides).
