March Literary Madness

The 16 most popular books of the year make up our Sweet Sixteen bracket. Now we need your help picking the champion. Voting begins on Friday March 1st in library and online via the libraries social media accounts, and will continue through the month of March as your favorite books from 2018 go head-to-head.

Tuesday, March 19 | 7 pm
Come listen to local author Stephanie Allen discuss her new novel, Tonic and Balm, which has been favorably reviewed by NPR, Foreword and the Historical Novel Society.

"It’s 1919, a time when traveling medicine shows can still find audiences eager to buy miracle “cures” and watch old-fashioned variety acts onstage. Tonic and Balm follows one such troupe, Doc Bell’s Miracles and Mirth Medicine Show, as it winds through Pennsylvania, struggling to stay afloat amidst internal discord and dwindling revenues."
