Skills to Advance at WWETB are holding a breakfast morning briefing session at 8am on Thursday 28th February in Ferrycarrig Hotel, Wexford.    
Launching the new Skills to Advance initiative for companies, this new Employee Development Initiative may benefit your business!
The policy supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and your employees (full or part-time) may qualify for up to 100% funding to complete training as part of the NEW Skills to Advance Employee Development Initiative.

Wrapping up Local Enterprise Week tune in to South East Radio at 3.20pm on Friday 8th March. Tom Banville, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Wexford will announce Wexford's representative in the National Enterprise Awards and also give an update on Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur as we near the closing date for entries.  
   

WorkMatters Startup Meetup

Join us for our next WorkMatters Startup Meetup on Tuesday 5th March in Gorey Library at 7pm. This month we will have two speakers attending the event, Breege Cosgrave, LEO Wexford and Dr Eugene Crehan, Director of Programmes CEDRE and who manages the New Frontiers Entrepreneur Development Programme. 

       

Breege Cosgrave, Local Enterprise Office Wexford will tell us about the supports that are available for startups and small businesses. The LEO offers a confidential advisory service that’s open to everyone who may be thinking of self-employment. It’s your first-stop-shop if you’ve got a business idea.

Dr Eugene Crehan, will explain how the New Frontiers Entrepreneur Development Programme works. He will also let you know how it can provide you with the help and support to accelerate the development of your business and provide you with the skills and contacts that you will need to successfully start and grow your own company.

AgTech - The Future of Sustainable Agricultural Business

 

The Local Enterprise Office Enterprise Week Agtech Convention taking place at Fota Island Resort on the 6th of March will bring together the ‘Cream of the Crop’ of Irish AgTech.

One of the pioneers of smart phone AgTech Technology, Fabien Peyaud will give a keynote speech on the future challenges and opportunities perceived in the continued evolution of AgTech.

Joining the Start Up panel will be the CEOs of the top, award winning AgTech start-ups currently in Ireland.

 Mná na hÉireann, Women of Ireland - €1.8 millionfund


 

The Mná na hÉireann, Women of Ireland Fund is a three year fund aimed at supporting not for profit organisations that empower women to progress their education or progress into new or more sustainable employment.  This fund represents an amazing opportunity for the women of Ireland.

We are calling for applications from organisations that support and empower women to progress their education or progress into new or more sustainable employment.

The Department of Rural and Community Development provides match funding for all philanthropic funds raised by Social Innovation Fund Ireland, via the Dormant Accounts Fund.

The Technical Assistance for Micro Exporters grant will part-fund the costs (up to €2,500) that can be incurred in investigating and researching export markets, e.g. exhibiting at trade fairs, preparing marketing material and developing websites specifically targeting overseas markets.
