Spring is around the corner!

We have a lot of wonderful events coming up, be sure to stay tuned to the bulletins, newsletters, facebook and our web page for the latest information!
We would like to thank our guest speakers from last Sunday's service Feb 24th, Phyllis Palmer, Ann Lindsley and Al Campaan. In case you missed it or would like to listen again you can go to our website and listen to the audio on their experiences with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s at www.sylvaniaucc.org/audio-archive

SPECIAL LENTEN OPPORTUNITY
for
YOUTH 6TH through12th

During Lent can you commit to trying a new youth faith formation opportunity during the 10:40am time on Sunday mornings? You do NOT have to come to all the sessions to participate. We’ll talk about our church, faith, spiritual practices, and whatever questions you have or whatever is on your mind.

We will meet in the youth lounge during the Sunday 10:40 worship time on March 10, 24, 31 and April 7. During our first class, March 10, we’ll celebrate our new time together with a light breakfast beginning right at 10:40. Come connect or reconnect to your church family. Food and music to share and well-behaved friends are welcome. Leadership will be provided by Sheila Banerji, our former Youth Ministry Coordinator. You can direct questions to her via email ssbanerji@bex.net.

LENTEN MEDITATION

Throughout the season of Lent, you are invited to continue to deepen your faith with special attention given to cultivating several spiritual practices.  Gather with others in the Narthex every Wednesday from 6pm to 6:30pm, or every Thursday afternoon from 1pm to 1:30pm for a time of guided prayer, meditation, ritual, and silence. If these times are inconvenient, the same materials have been formatted so that you can use them in the Narthex on a self-guided basis.
For more information, contact Kathryn Helleman or Pastor Hafidha.
