Upcoming Workshops 2019

New workshops are listed on my website

I have a couple of places left for the advanced beginner harakeke workshop  this weekend, contact me if you are interested.

If you are living in the Auckland region, I am running a one day eco dye workshop in Devonport in May, detailed information on my website.
Learn how to weave with harakeke

This course is an opportunity to learn to weave with harakeke on a more intense level. It’s part of the winter program at Tutere Gallery and Creative Space. It is suitable for total beginners and for people who have a basic knowledge (i.e. have previously attended my beginner workshop) and want to delve deeper into the art of mahi raranga. The workshop is spread over a period of two month, which gives students the chance to practice in between classes. To ensure the best possible learning outcome for akonga (students) the number is limited to 6-8 students.

More information about date and costs here
If you are interested in taking a private workshop (customized to your interest) in my studio or in your own venue you are welcome to contact me. Price depends on numbers and type of workshop (scroll down to the end).

Exhibitions

Tutere Gallery + Creative Space at Waikanae Beach is showcasing works of regional artists until 31st of March. I have a small range of work in the gallery including my latest sculptural harakeke weaving.
Open Friday - Sunday 10am - 3pm
Currently a selection of my harakeke work is exhibited at Mahara Gallery in Waikanae amongst other local artists.
In May I will exhibit my work 'Papakāinga' in a group show at Thistle Hall in Wellington. More information about the project 'Papakainga' soon.
