Quick Announcements

There are a few things to get done this season before the racing gets going.

Getting organized for racing is one of those things. If you're looking to race on a team, joining a club is the best place to start. See below, the AAVC is looking to recruit some women for their race team.

Of course, we can't all be racing hard all the time, plan a break in your season to get a relaxing ride in. Especially if you can be supporting one of our cyclocross promoters while you do it. The Alma Glengravel Ramble might fit the bill for you.

Ann Arbor Velo Club Women's Team

The Ann Arbor Velo Club Women's Team is looking to recruit some new members - maybe women off the forum, triathletes, students or others new to town.

There will be a strong focus on developing fitness and racing skills/confidence, and perks like a coach, team rides, team funds to be spent on jerseys/racing fees, and meeting lovely women to ride with!

If this sounds at all intriguing, please fill out this quick survey by Friday, March 1.

There will be a planning meeting on Monday, March 18, at 6:30 PM in Ann Arbor. More details on that meeting are within the survey. You do not have to be a AAVC member to attend this meeting, this is a chance to learn more about the team.

Alma Glengravel Ramble

Join us on June 8 for the inaugural Alma Glengravel Ramble tour! Three route distances - all primarily on rural gravel roads - offer options for beginners to not-so-beginner cyclists. All registrants through May 25 are guaranteed a t-shirt; all registrants will receive a Terry’s Cycle water bottle, a $15 voucher to the Alma Brewing Company, and aid support thanks to Clif Bar and Arbor Move realty.
