Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, 6th March

There's plenty going on in our Churches during the season of Lent. We thought you might like to know about some of what's happening. We'll send you more details about Holy Week and Easter in a few weeks but until then do get in touch or see our website or Facebook page if there's something you need to know.

The day before Lent begins is Shrove Tuesday (5th March). Join us for a Pancake Party. Children's games from 6pm; Pancakes at 7pm followed by a Beetle Drive. For catering please let us know if you'd like to come by Sunday 3rd March.

On Ash Wednesday, 6th March, there will be services at St Mary's at 10am and 7.30pm, both with the Imposition of Ashes. The choir will sing special music at the Evening Service.
Everyone is welcome.

The Road to the Cross
A course on Tuesday Evenings in Lent

Our Lent course this year will focus on St John’s Gospel and some of those who shared the journey to the cross with Jesus or met him on the way. What can we learn from their experiences? How can we encounter Jesus today and deepen our faith in him?

6.30pm Evening Prayer (Choral Evensong on the last Sunday of the month)
