Given recent opportunities opening up around food policy in Maine, this year’s summit is focused on changes underway and what we can accomplish together as a movement to accelerate food system innovation in the months ahead. There will be a strong focus on the advances in local work, and how food councils throughout the state are strengthening their communities through motivating food system change.

Workshops will explore the following topics:

  • Supporting Fisheries 
  • Local Food Access for Seniors
  • Community Gardens and Food Forests

  • Land Access for Agriculture 
  • Network Mapping

Attendees are invited to join and explore ways that Food Councils can support your work, as well as ways that your group can enrich community efforts.
