Welcome back everyone! We hope the reading break was good to you, whether used for catching up on those readings, catching up on sleep, or catching some gnarly waves in Tofino.
With the snow finally melted, we are back and ready for a work party this FRIDAY! We will also be joined by Tayler from Hatchet & Seed for an Intro to Pruning Workshop. More info below.
Curious about farming, travelling, or how to do both at the same time? Monday, March 4 at 4:30pm we will be hosting an Everything You Need To Know About WWOOFING workshop! Keep scrolling for the details!
Ever wondered how to perform general maintenance on one of your small engines (such as a lawn mower or whipper snipper)? Good news! We will be having a workshop for exactly that on Friday, February 8th at 3pm. Keep scrolling for more info.

Volunteer Work Parties
This Week's Friday Work Party: 3:00-5:00pm.
Worker bee tasks:
- Install rainwater tank
- Sow seeds
- Greenhouse shelves adjusting
- Sheet mulch areas for planting
- Finish nursery propagation boxes
- Move woodchips
- Mulch McKenzie fence line with manure, then leaf mulch
Volunteers get to bring home a portion of what we harvest on work party days.
Remember to bring a reusable bag or container to transport your veggies!

Intro to Pruning Workshop
Friday, March 1, 2019, 3pm - 5pm
Campus Community Garden
This introductory workshop will cover dormant season pruning basics for currants, blueberries, elderberry & jostaberries. We will also demonstrate how to take hardwood cuttings from these species for the propagation of new plants! For more info, click here.
