Ponder this ...
• How flexible are my closest relationships (especially the more intimate kind) when it comes to new experiences ?
• What do I need to get out in the open with a partner ?
• In what ways am I itching to make a bold declaration, indicate interest, or otherwise spark up interactions ?
• How can I act on my heart's callings or desires rather than just more thinking and imagining and wishing ?
Real intimacy is a sacred experience. ~ John O'Donohue
Intimacy, Connection, That Which Makes Our Heart Sing, Joy overflowing … these are what we are seeking, craving, needing, desiring, wishing for quite dramatically and with every fibre of our being for the next month.
There is a need to let relationship partners off the hook from being or seeking all things from one person or one relationship. Let’s make an effort to (re)connect with our friends, our tribe, our community, our peeps, to come back into flow and relationship with them at deeper levels.
Some relationships and partnerships may not be able to withstand this need for greater connection, may not understand a desire for greater freedom to interact and be with others … surfacing deep seated issues that create too much pressure and expectation on a relationship or partner. And if these are not able to be sorted through, given a release valve, and there is a lack of openness and willingness to stretch and expand the relationship, to allow for greater freedom and experimentation in order to shake up the status quo that has grown stagnant and stale, then some relationships and partnerships are likely to dissolve during this time.
We need to discover or reconnect with the throb, the beat, the rhythm of our own heart’s desires, joy and happiness. And then, once we’ve done that (and not before by losing ourselves to the beat and rhythm of one or more others), we want to seek out those who are in sync, in harmony, in the flow of our own heart’s throb.
We need to be softer and more receptive now, remaining true to ourselves while honouring the rights of others to have their own agendas.
Openness and experimentation are key to growth, connection and deeper intimacy.
Don’t hold back the heart now. Express freely. And don’t limit or restrict how others need and want to express themselves right now.
Be gentle … allow yourself and others the freedom to express and be who they are, who they need to be, in whatever form that may take. It may be temporary, it may be forever. A momentary intermingling at the heart level that acknowledges, honours and elevates all involved will have profound effects on everyone.

MARIJUANA
There is always a danger in taking oneself too seriously. Joyful intoxication can be used as an exercise to discriminate the true inner reality from the outer delusions. On one sense, intoxication is at the heart of all living. Through insight and meditation on the moment at hand, one can pierce the illusion that can veil the eternal truth and reality of existence. Marijuana is a reminder of the need to accept the happiness and joy in life and not to be fixed on the things that are not « quite right. » Its essence gives us the opening to live life with inner quietude, peace and joy.

Friday • 01 Mar 2019
Good intentions won’t get us very far today. And relationships are in the spotlight, as Venus interacts with three other planets and also makes a change of signs. Venus forms a square to Uranus in Aries on Friday, activating a restlessness and inciting rebellion against any liaisons that are restrictive or controlling. We may see old alliances disintegrate with this aspect, especially those that have limited the independence and autonomy of any of the parties involved. Venus is in sextile aspect to Chiron late on Friday. This will help us remain true to ourselves during any negotiations, even as we honour the rights of others to have their own agendas.
As the week-end begins some familiar problem raises their head as the Capricorn Moon conjuncts dour Saturn and Pluto. Whether we have a headache from the headlines or find that an old physical scar aches in the cold, or just itch with cabin fever after a long snowy winter, some repeating pattern can either give us an opportunity to do it right this time, or make uncomfortable with the status quo. For this week-end, it can help to step outside of the nuclear family and reach out to our community; our tribe, our groups or teams, can make us happy and provide camaraderie as the Moon and Venus conjunct in Aquarius. Though it’s not a great time for personal intimacy and relationships, it’s good to hold hands and deal with the world together.
In five days Mercury will turn Retrograde, and this one will be no fun. Best then to finalise matters and finish up all the details you can before tricky Mercury begins to back up on the bases on 5 March.
We’re pulled off course by romantic attractions or lucrative financial plans as magnetic Venus forms an exciting square with independent Uranus lasting through the week-end. Depending on how you manage this aspect will determine how it influences your life. A Venus-Uranus square can make us feel like the grass is greener somewhere else. It’s easy to imagine that any problems we feel are the responsibility of the people around us rather than the existential zeitgeist, and think that a new relationship, different friends, new country, will solve the problem. But wherever we go, there we are. This transit influence often creates trouble with relationships – Venus rules relationships and Uranus wants to break free of conventional standards and social mores. Relationship issues lurking beneath the surface may become problematic as we feel agitated and a need to be free, even if temporarily. If relationships are in rut, you may need to add something new and exciting to spice them up. If we aren’t getting that excitement, then someone usually acts out to create it. Boredom leads to picking a fight or doing something out of the ordinary to get a rise out of your partner, etc. However, if you fail to work on your relationship, then trouble may be on its way, and you may begin to self-sabotage in order to break free. Trouble is likely if you’ve been holding stuff in, holding stuff back, or if you just feel stifled and bored. This will be the time where you may let it all out and see what happens. We need to be honest with ourselves and take risks in your relationships; otherwise, problems are bound to happen most likely in mid-May when Venus conjoins Uranus in Taurus. This Transit can also influence us to spend recklessly, so be careful there too. Taurus and Libra Sun and Rising will likely feel the most erratic and troubled during this time.
Venus is entering Aquarius, known for being a very unconventional, progressive, and freedom-loving sign. While Venus is in Aquarius (until 26 March), the cosmos support our expressing greater authenticity and autonomy within our relationships. This means some relationship forms will shift, to allow greater freedom of expression for all parties. Some may even break apart if they are not flexible enough to adapt to the changing energies.
How flexible are your closest relationships (especially the more intimate kind) when it comes to new experiences ? What do you need to get out in the open with a partner ? In what ways are you itching to make a bold declaration, indicate your interest, or otherwise spark up your interactions ? All of these questions appear to be on the table today. So how can you answer them with action rather than just more thinking and imagining and wishing ?
We’re oddly unattached to producing final results as Venus, the planet of love, moves out of structured Capricorn and enters wild and crazy Aquarius. Relationship needs are met through friendship and intellectual stimulation, and in most cases, expresses itself in a detached and often ambivalent way. You might find that your need for stimulation shifts more to groups and acquaintances, rather than primary partnerships. Venus in Aquarius is ethical and loyal with a strong distaste for intense emotions and will shut down if it feels like it is being emotionally manipulated. Keep tabs on what, exactly, you may be provoking in others (and whether it's truly the reaction you'd prefer). Supplying a little extra warmth than you might automatically offer looks like a useful approach. On the personal level, Venus in Aquarius reflects a cyclical period where we need to look at our relationships using reason and logic rather than through emotional connection and earthy necessities. If your relationship is not working, then it’s time to look at the reasons why problems are occurring, which requires honesty yet will give you the strategy to improve your relationships.
Venus in Aquarius is effective to develop financial strategies for the future. Using a detached and emotional perspective, this placement provides you with a cool and logical approach that will help you see problems in your current financial situation and will provide you with the tools to deal with them. Since Saturn, the natural ruler of Aquarius is moving through goal-oriented Capricorn, your chance of success and resolving your financial issues once and for all is high.
An ambitious Capricorn Moon activates our most practical dreams of success, our follow-through may fall short of our expectations. Venus squares unpredictable Uranus early this morning while the Moon makes a sextile to gentle Neptune. Let any emotional discomfort inspire you to make positive changes rather than the believe the story that you’re stuck here as the Moon conjuncts Saturn and Pluto while Venus squares Uranus. Look for a gift hidden in an old conundrum or look for something completely different. Any change of pace, any different environment, can really shift those gears and allow good things to happen. To support relationships, break routine together. Luna quickly travels on to meet serious and often grumpy Saturn at 10.23a. Green lights come on a minute later until 7.48p when the Moon meets compulsive Pluto, and we either have a healing moment or a clash of wills.

March WHOA Days
1, 6+, 15+, 24+, 26
Caution lights are up on the 6th as both the Sun and Moon conjunct foggy Neptune in a New Moon. Retrograde Mercury squares Jupiter on the 15th increasing the chances of confusion, b.s. and errors in judgment. Same story for the 24th when Mercury conjuncts Neptune and the truth may be hard to find. Keep it simple on the 26th as the Moon squares both Mercury Rx and Neptune.

The planets suggest our feelings may be as soggy as snowmelt in early spring weather this week. The conditions inside and out can get even sloppier as Mercury retrogrades in sensitive swampy Pisces.
Art and good conversation help. Beauty-loving Venus can help us find a temporary cure for our tough moods if we start an unusual conversation with people outside our normal framework or engage our hearts in an act of compassion or dive into some creative project as Venus squares eccentric Uranus and then leaves Capricorn to enter friendlier, if less emotionally intimate, Aquarius. Venus takes the lead. Women come to the rescue and see the need for change. The artist within us can find an answer when the logician in us cannot. One thing we do have to look out for in our restlessness is an illusion that all change is good. A Venus-Uranus square can make us feel like the grass is greener, or at least the sidewalk less snowy, somewhere else. It’s easy to imagine that any problems we feel are the responsibility of the people around us rather than the existential zeitgeist, and think that a new relationship, different friends, new country, will solve the problem. But wherever we go, there we are.
It’s important that we tend to our practical work on Monday because everything slows down another notch, or gets complicated, as the Moon enters sensitive Pisces and Mercury retrogrades in Pisces on Tuesday. This will feel like a super retrograde Mercury with an elongated cycle, so let’s find a good way to work with the energy. Mercury is in Pisces, the sign opposite the one that it rules, Virgo, and so it’s not particularly at home now anyway. Let’s activate all Mercury retrograde survival skills. Confirm appointments, check schedules. Confirm all facts before responding. If the situation gets difficult, assume there’s been a misunderstanding and look for more information.
Mercury just conjunct foggy, confusing, creative, intuitive Neptune on 19 February, now turns retrograde and backs up to conjunct Neptune twice more, on 25 March and 3 April. While this could be wonderful for writing novels or doing our spiritual work, it could be really tricky for pragmatic communication. Water can make transportation difficult through sloppy weather and melting snow. Under this elongated Neptune-Mercury conjunction we need to find a good way to be sensitive, but not get stuck in an emotional swamp, explore with imagination but not get lost in conspiracy theories. Our imagination will be stronger than our concrete logic throughout March. Make an effort to pierce the veil of fog to understand what’s really going on rather than get lost in hopes and fears, or in a cloud of misinformation. With Mercury-Neptune we can dream a beautiful new future into existence, but need to check on that practical follow through later.
Another shift this week, a major one which will change the backdrop of our life over the next eight years, but may or may not bring an event this month. Uranus enters Taurus. Uranus, the cosmic clutch, brings change to whatever sign it traverses. Taurus speaks of material comfort and stability. Uranus entered Taurus briefly last spring, from 15 May to 6 November, retrograded back into Aries, and now enters Taurus for the next eight years. Uranus traversed Taurus from 1767-1774 in the run-up to the American Revolution, again in 1850-1859, as tension built up to the American Civil War. The last time Uranus traversed Taurus was 1933 to 1942 as America brought in the major works project, the New Deal, to recover from the financial upheaval of the Great Depression, and the economic difficulties in Europe sparked the beginnings of World War II. All three times Uranus in Taurus ushered in financial and pragmatic change in American culture and economics. In all cases, argument over how we handled our resources (Taurus) catalysed a rift, whether we gave taxes to England or made money off people kept in slavery. We need to direct our changes carefully over the next eight years.
