Dear Ones,

It  has already been a full and rich 2019! I started the year in Puerto Rico with Bajacú Boricua: a collaborative project designed to support Puerto Rican children, youth, and parents / caregivers in their emotional and physical recovery from the trauma of Hurricane Maria and its aftermath through meditation, music, and movement.  We spent 10 days exploring the ways in which we can continue to decolonize our teachings, cultivating friendships and partnerships, stewarding land, and deeply caring for ourselves so that we could show up with our all.

This beautiful team was dreamed by Jana Kiser and came into being with my brothers from Holistic Life Foundation, Maria José Montijo, Juan Lopez Berrios, with guest teachers Sharon Salzberg and Sylvia Boorstein.  This was our pilot year, reach out here to Like our page and to see what we were up to this year.  More soon.....

World Wide Insight

The Tuesday Dharma Gathering provides an introduction to Insight Meditation, as well as an opportunity to meditate in a supportive environment. These teacher-led gatherings offer the opportunity to meet teachers, hear a dharma talk, and participate in a dialogue about how to apply the principles of Buddhist meditation to our daily lives.

Spirit Rock's 200hr. Dharma & Yoga Teacher Training
Spirit Rock Meditation Center - Woodacre California
January-May 2019
*Modules that I'm teaching on are open to public, no need to enroll in full program

This immersive training program addresses body, mind, and heart through the study of mindful asana, pranayama, anatomy, mindfulness principles, meditation, and the wisdom teachings of Yoga and Buddhism. Students will develop both their personal practice, as well as the ability to guide and lead others. The heart of the practices will include the Brahma Viharas, with a focus on Metta, providing both refuge and support for kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others. 

This 5 month training program will be led by Djuna Mascall, with modules offered by Leslie Booker, Anne Cushman, Mark Coleman, Tias Little and Sean Feit Oakes.
