Our second exhibition of the semester features work from a contemporary printmaker and historical prints from the Dr. Doll Collection
Then and Now: Keeping the Japanese Woodblock Process Alive: This exhibition features prints from contemporary artist Mary Brodbeck. Her prints depict stylized interpretations of the Great Lakes landscape using the traditional Japanese woodblock process 'mokuhanga.' She received her B.F.A. in Industrial Design from Michigan State University and her M.F.A. in Printmaking from Western Michigan University. Accompanying Brodbeck's prints are highlights from the SVSU Art Department's Dr. Doll Collection.
