The Shifting Paradigm
10 years ago Arise Haiti was launched on the shores of Gelee Beach, Haiti, truly an amazing journey. Over the past 4 years, after reflecting on the 200 year anniversary of the first Protestant missionary arriving in Haiti, we have been sensing the birth pangs of a new era of "missions."
In Haiti, missions and largely the reflection of the indigenous church have been shaped from a Western paradigm. As the thrust of missions and missionaries have shifted from the declining West to the "Global South," we are witnessing a paradigm shift emerging. This paradigm shift leads us to a place of re-evaluating Paul's original missionary model and how it applies today.
As we prepare for our first full itineration in the USA, Arise with our local leadership team will continue in partnership with the Haitian church focusing on these 4 initiatives.
- Leadership Development (School of Ministry and BILD/Antioch Curriculum)
- Church Planting - (Arise Ecclesia Network)
- Children/Family Preservation (Unveiled)
- Health/Wholistic approach (compassion initiatives)

Our primary initiatives are leadership development and strengthening and establishing the church. All other objectives and activities of Arise are filtered through these two primary objectives. .
