Welcome to our conference edition newsletter!

February has been a tremendously busy month!  Let me share with you what has been happening.

Internally at the University of Westminster, my team has been doing a great job of putting all the processes in place to launch our International Social Prescribing Network Conference in July - thank you team!  We are now open for bookings... We have had literally hundreds of requests to be notified about booking details over the last few months so we recommend booking quickly to avoid disappointment.   As always, we believe collaborating and sharing information underpins progress so will be making resources from the two days available online when the conference is finished.  Details on the conference are below.

We have been working with NHS England colleagues to support the new Universal Personalised Care agenda, and in particular the Social Prescribing strategy.   In this newsletter you will find the latest strategy and guidance documents from NHS England.  If you are in England, then please do read and share these.   We will continue to share information as and when it becomes available.

Our regional leads have been very busy either running or planning regional conferences. By the end of March we will have collaborated on a regional conference in practically every region of England and Northern Ireland, and that is just in 2019!  This is only possible through sincere collaborative efforts.  I am struck by how much the questions and discussion at these conferences are moving from the potential idea to the practical details.  Thank you to everyone who shares their learning at these events.

International Social Prescribing Day is around the corner on the 14th March 2019.  A massive shout out and thank you to the medical student team, the University of Westminster Comms team and all you lovely people who have been putting together materials and events.  Check out the social prescribing network website and twitter for more information...It's going to be an amazing day!

Happy social prescribing!!

Marie Polley
Co-Chair, Social Prescribing Network
