GOALS GALORE!!!

Any week where we score 27 goals in 7 league games is going to be a successful week for any club. However, in doing so we also conceded 29 goals. Whilst it's a shame, it's also a reminder why we love this fantastic game so much. Accept the success or failure of any week, it's the playing the game that is the most import thing.

The Men’s 3s (Pictured above) were on fire. Literally. In the searing heat that was thrown at us, burting into flames was becoming a realistic option. Berko won this game against St Albans with an 8-1 scoreline. It's a match report worth reading. Match Report

And the Ladies 2s (Pictured above) absolutely smashed it with an 8-0 win against Hertford!! Player of the match was Hannah Prentice who scored two goals, just missing out on a hatrick. Match Report

The Ladies 3’s (Pictured above and below) got back to winning ways with a 4-1 win against Shefford and Sandy. Goalscorers Rebecca x 2, Terri x 1 and Jo x 1. Player of match was a 3 way tie between Terri, Ellie and Rebecca with other votes for Chops, Kate and Sophie. Match Report

The Ladies 3s paused briefly to celebrate the wonderful destination name where they played the game. This coming from a club who play our home games in a place that sounds like the noise from a bicycle bell.

The Men’s 2s (Pictured above and below) played a fantastic game against St Albans away on a beautiful sunny day. MoM wass Hugo Graham. (Score 3-2 to St Albans). Goals came from both Payton Jnr and Snr. A rare family double in any game. Match Report

Afterwards, the Men's 2s celebrated with a variety of inflatables. Possibly the less said the better.

The Men's 1s lost 5-4 against Stevenage, strangely the same scoreline in the first game earlier this season. The previous game resulted in Chernobylgate. The club had to apologise to Stevenage for claiming it was twinned with Chernobyl. We have since apologised to the Mayor of Chernobyl. Match Report

The Men's 5s had a brilliant end to end tussle with a strong Luton team. The 9-1 scoreline only reflects on the chances taken. Berko could easily have scored as many as well. It was still a great game. Match Report

Jim Carlile and the Men's 4s are looking forward to next season. Match Report
