It's official! The 2019 Australian Technologies Competition is now open for business
Welcome back to all of our friends, stakeholders and supporters. The Australian Technologies Competition for 2019 officially opens today, commencing its ninth annual season.
Are you ready to be part of Australia's leading platform to identify and accelerate Australian technology scaleups?
Between now and 20 May 2019, tech scaleups from around Australia are invited to throw their hat in the ring in order to showcase their global potential. If you or someone you know should be in the running for 2019, it's time to submit your entry.

Since its inception, the Australian Technologies Competition has created an alumni pool of over 200 semi finalists and finalists, many of whom have gone on to achieve significant international success.
As we prepare for a bigger and better year in support of up-and-coming Australian scaleups with the greatest global potential, join us as we prepare for a seven-month long program to unite star candidates in our ecosystem!

2018 Alumni Emudent hosts Federal Health Minister to announce $22M funding in support of early stage health research
|
|
|
2018 semi finalist Emudent, based in the ACT, are a company developing patented, cutting-edge micro-robotic technology to enable ultra-precise, seamless, painless and affordable dental care.
|
|
|
|
Earlier this year, Emudent was chosen as the venue/platform for the Federal Minister for Health, Greg Hunt to announce $22M worth of funding in support of key early stage health research. The Minister for Health, Mr Greg Hunt and accompanying delegates/press visited their facility at CBRIN, inspecting Emudent's prototypes and learning about their technology.

BindiMaps Co-Founder named one of Dynamic Business's Top 10 Entrepreneurs
|
|
Co-Founder of mobile app, BindiMaps, Anna Wright, was recently named one of Dynamic Business's Top 10 Entrepreneurs.
BindiMaps transforms the way people with vision impairment navigate complex indoor spaces. The mobile app employs Bluetooth technology to locate a network of Bluetooth beacons combined with mapping and a route-guidance system to ensure people with vision impairment can move around safely.
In 2018, BindiMaps was named a semi finalist in the Australian Technologies Competition. We're excited to see how they remove the barriers to navigation and commercialise their technology.

Queensland's RedEye raises $10.4m
|
|
|
2018 Winner of the Australian Technologies Competition Mining Technologies Award RedEye, raised $10.4m at the end of last year in support of international growth plans as part of a Series B funding round. RedEye provides a centralised cloud platform for engineering data used by large asset owners in areas such as mining, water, healthcare and power.

Secure Code Warrior charges ahead
|
|
|
2016 Semi Finalist in the Cyber Security category, Secure Code Warrior last year raised $4.93 million to boost its US business. Secure Code Warrior is a Software-as-a-Service platform that educates developers about how to write code securely and within their company’s guidelines.

FluroSat receives $3m research grant
|
|
|
2017 Australian Technologies Competition Food & Agribusiness Winner FluroSat secured a $3 million Cooperative Research Centres Project (CRC-P) grant, fast-tracking it in its mission to make data insights more accessible for the agriculture industry. The grant will allow FluroSat to develop a scalable predictive agronomic analytics system, in partnership with Agworld, PCT Agcloud, AgLink Australia and CSIRO.

Kesem Health receives CE Mark certification for its iUFlow device
|
|
|
2018 Australian Technologies Competition MedTech Finalist Kesem Health recently announced that it has received CE Mark certification for its iUFlow™ device, which is used for the diagnosis and management of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms. Gil Hidas, Kesem CEO, said, “the CE Mark is a major milestone for Kesem. It enables us to commence market roll-out of the iUFlow device and its integration into emerging, newer, and more advanced initiatives at major clinics and hospitals across Europe."
Kesem Health developed and is commercialising the iUFlow™ solution to improve, simplify, and reduce the cost of the diagnosis and management of Lower Urinary Tract diseases including Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), Overactive Bladder (OAB), and Nocturia. The iUFlow provides urologists with objective information that will assist them in the diagnosis and management of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms.
