MEDLIFE
MEDLIFE is doing amazing things in Peru. Communities that we started working with nearly 10 years ago are now officially recognized by the government with proper land titles, and have access to better and safer electricity, hygiene, etc. MEDLIFE continues to work on projects year round, as listed above. These include building new community infrastructure, retaining walls, hygiene stations, etc. We really need the help of engineers such as those in HES as the number of projects that we have is beginning to overwhelm our existing engineering team in Peru.

Central Valley Outreach
At last week's Town Hall meeting we mentioned outreach to the Central Valley as an initiative that Engineering Student Services is leading. We are specifically interested in connecting with high school students and teachers as well as community college students and teachers from the Central Valley (Fresno, Bakersfield, Kern County).
Please let your HES members know about this and if they are interested in helping out or have ideas to contact me.
Since some students may be planning to head back home during the break we have set aside some funding for travel for students that might be interested in helping out with this initiative.
