When the Hall Hunger Initiative (HHI) discovered that 80% of Hispanic children in Dayton, Ohio are below the poverty line, we realized it was time to act... The team brainstormed culturally appropriate ways to engage and introduce the organization to the community. AmeriCorps VISTA
The Alliance to End Hunger is seeking full-time AmeriCorps VISTAs to support the work of building the public will to end hunger. The Alliance does this by supporting the Hunger Free Communities (HFC) Network. The HFC Network is the signature U.S. program of the Alliance to End Hunger. Made up of community-based anti-hunger coalitions, referred to as “Hunger Free Communities,” the network is comprised of 75 groups around the country.
