Spectrum Center Updates
Register for Lavender Graduation!

Lavender Graduation is a celebration of LGBTQ graduates of the University of Michigan. Graduates from any school/college in the University from any academic level are welcome to participate. All participants will receive a FREE rainbow 2019 tassel, lavender cords, and a Lavender Degree!

Families, students, faculty, and staff are all welcome to join the celebration.  Light appetizers will be served after the ceremony.

Lav Grad Award Nominations are live!

Considering the great work you do with and alongside LGBTQ students, nominate and/or self-nominate graduating students or student organizations who have done advocacy work and/or impacted the LGBTQ community.

Are you transgender, nonbinary, two-spirit, genderqueer, agender, gender-expansive or another non-cisgender identity, and age 18 or older?

Interested in having your thoughts and/or experiences about gender and sexual/reproductive health shared with community members and health care stakeholders? Love taking pictures and want to share your take on the world with your community?

Participate in Photovoice, a community-based research method originating in public health, but now used across various disciplines to build awareness of various issues, and work to affect social change.

TBLGQ+ Cancer Support Group

People with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities often experience a disproportionate burden from cancer. That's why the Cancer Support Community is proud to offer a free, professionally-facilitated support group for TBLGQ+ folks with cancer in their lives.

Leadership Opportunities
FYE is hiring Change it Up! facilitators

Change it Up! is looking for students to facilitate a 90-minute workshop that introduces first-year and transfer students to bystander intervention skills for the purpose of building inclusive and respectful communities. During the Fall 2019 semester Change it Up! will host over 50 workshops with audiences of approximately 100 students, each facilitated by two student facilitators in collaboration with the University of Michigan Education Theater Company (UMetc).
