Time to send out the Initial Email (IE)
The IE is to initiate and make contact and promote the project. Time to give growers seeds.This is a form letter that can be adapted to your local if your growing details are different.

1. Initial email - Getting Started (Spanish)

Now is a good time to send the second email to remind folks when to plant
2. Second email - Planting
May
3. Third email - Reminder to plant and also information about upcoming seed classes; it's helpful to have a class planned during the One Seed, One Community program for folks who feel like they want a bit more support and for those who want to learn how to save other crops too. Here is seed saving class presentation. Feel free to use it or adapt it.
June
There is no specific email to send, but depending on how your interactions are structured, you might want to make contact if there are specific questions that have been asked, or comment on any climate events that have been going on, such as a heat wave.. Intense heat (generally higher than 95 degrees) or water stress (under-watering) can cause beans and peas to drop their flowers.
Remind folks to water!
July
Some folks may be starting to harvest. This email will highlight how to harvest and store beans as well as draw attention to any future events you may have planned, including the Great Bean Weigh Off
4. Fourth email - Harvesting and a save the date: Great Bean Weigh Off Party (GBWO)
August
No specific email, but folks can share their photos and stories, prep for the GBWO
September
Now is a good time to let folks know what they can do with their harvest and what celebrations that may be coming up.
5. Fifth email - Celebration and details about Great Bean Weigh Off Party or dropping of seeds at seed library
October
Time to Celebrate, Gather to Exchange Seeds and the Great Bean Weigh Off!!
