We've heard stories of how teachers kept learners safe and calm during the lock down of schools, centres and kura.

We thank teachers and educators for their leadership in supporting learners during this stressful time and acknowledge their dedication, resilience and duty of care.

Induction and mentoring funding 2019

Are you a provisionally certificated part-time or relief teacher, or an itinerant teacher of music?

If so, the Teaching Council can offer funding to cover the costs of a mentor for your induction and mentoring programme.

Applications are open for 2019, with funding available for the full academic year. The mentor must be based at one of the schools or centres you currently teach in.
