Here is your March update from the Teaching Council.
The Teaching Council extends condolences to everyone affected by the attack on two mosques in Christchurch on Friday 15 March.
We've heard stories of how teachers kept learners safe and calm during the lock down of schools, centres and kura.
We thank teachers and educators for their leadership in supporting learners during this stressful time and acknowledge their dedication, resilience and duty of care.
Send your aroha to the education community in Christchurch
The Council is compiling a digital book of aroha with messages from teachers around the country.
We invite you to write your message of solidarity, encouragement and care and we'll share it on your behalf, with the education community in Christchurch, who are dealing with the aftermath and grief of the devastating attack. Share your message here.
