Tats Cru, the venerable graffiti outfit from the Bronx created the latest mural on the Goldman Bowery Wall.
“We wanted to do something to represent New York but we also wanted show a bit of history from the area. The left side was homage to when Keith Haring , Daze and others painted the Houston Bowery wall. On the lower right is a tribute to Liz Christy who started the garden across the street from the wall in the 1970s when the area was still rough.”
Another NoHo/SoHo Open House March 20


On Wednesday, March 20th at 6:00 pm there will be another Envisioning Open House at 1 Centre St., North Mezzanine.  This session will address residential living in the mixed use M1-5B neighborhoods.  Take advantage of an interactive map that provides you an opportunity to make your opinions known.

Speaking of Women...

Anna Sheffield relocated her shop to 19 Bleecker St. in January.  “I always knew we’d be a destination when designing engagement rings, but as I’ve grown the brand, it became about finding a location that speaks to more than just selling ceremonial pieces,” says Sheffield.

  • Corp. to be formed by Gabriel Stulman, d/b/a TBD, 54 Great Jones St. 10012 (OP – Restaurant with sidewalk cafe).  This is the former Great Jones Cafe, again.  Mr. Stulman proposes a fresh fish themed restaurant with a very small sidewalk cafe. The hours will be 5pm -Midnight Sunday thru Wed; 5pm to 1am Thursday, Friday & Saturday; the sidewalk cafe will close at 10pm daily.  Having met with the Stulman's, Great Jones St. neighbors have approved of the application.

February Follow-Up
Landmarks Application for Great Jones Distillery, 686 Broadway.  While there were some aspects of this design that were approved by both the Comminity Board and Landmarks, the third floor windows, uneven outside columns on the north and south and the black brick veneer were disapproved.  The application was denied at CB#2.  ResolutionRendering.

Landmarks Application for 400 Lafayette St.  The applicatin proposed a glass marquee for the entrance to this office building.  The Landmarks Committee denied the application.  Resolution.
