Wellness Presentation 3/29
Yes, Your Teenager Can Get Arrested for That - Love and Law in the Era of Digital Dating and #MeToo 
Brought to you by the PFLASA Wellness Committee. 
March 29th at 8:30am in the LBJ/LASA library
 
LASA parents Corinne Sumpter-Gonzalez and David Gonzalez, who've spent their professional lives representing teenagers, will share how digital communication has led to an alarming rise in criminal prosecutions and what to do about it. RSVP Here
 
Refreshments will be offered starting at 7:45am in the black chair area of the library, and presentation at 8:30am. The presentation will be live streamed so you can watch even if you can't make it to LBJ/LASA. 

The March 13th  PFLASA Wellness Committee meeting has been canceled; new date and time will be posted soon.
Leadership Austin School Finance Panel
Leadership Austin is hosting a panel and breakfast focused on school funding. It's on March 13 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the new Central Library. Tickets are $25. Details online
LASA Robotics 
Congratulations to LASA Robotics FRC Team 418 on winning the Imagery Award during the first round of competition in the FIRST Robotics Competition’s Destination: Deep Space Challenge. 

Congratulations also to FTC Team 4290, which received the Innovate Award at the FIRST Tech Challenge Regional Championship in New Braunfels, and now advances to the FIRST World Championship in Houston! Go LASA Robotics!!

College Fair and Spring College Visits
National College Fair in Austin – Tuesday March 26, 5:30 – 8:00pm

The National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) is hosting the National College Fair in Austin on Tuesday, March 26 at the Palmer Events Center in Exhibit Hall 1-2, 900 Barton Springs Rd, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Free and open to the public, National College Fairs allow students to interact with admissions representatives from a wide range of postsecondary institutions to discuss course offerings, admission and financial aid requirements, and college life in general.  Hundreds of colleges and universities are scheduled to participate. Free registration is now open to students and parents. When an attendee registers, they will receive a barcode.  When printed and brought to the fair, it serves as an electronic ID so attendees avoid wasting time filling out inquiry cards.
