Many of you know a bit about the behind-the-scenes of a food blog or other food publication. The reality is that while some of it happens in real time, some of it is written and shot months in advance, so that when Thanksgiving rolls around I have lots of lovely stuffings and pies and turkey recipes to share. But while I sometimes have to think a season or so ahead, when I am meal planning for my family and cooking for our friends I am very much in real time, just like you are. And weirdly I often get to rediscover a recipe I created just at the moment I am craving that kind of food, and I actually get to kind of re-experience the recipe right along with you all.
