This week, the global community gathers for the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) – this year with a focus on social protection systems, access to public services, and sustainable infrastructure for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls.
We know that progress toward all of these issues, and toward achieving the larger sustainable development agenda, requires strengthening women’s political participation, leadership, and decision-making power at all levels. From corporate boardrooms to the highest political offices, when women lead, they power progress benefiting all.
