USMWF Family Members Gene Cary (pictured), Kristy Weddington, Marcella Schwartz and Tonya Ford testified on March 4, 2019 in support of Nebraska's

LB408 - Change provisions relating to compensation paid upon the death on an employee under the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Act; and

LB448 - Change provisions relating to compensation for burial expenses under the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Act.
USMWF Family Member Teresa Beam and Keri Miller of Indiana submitted written testimony in support of HB1341. This would change how companies are penalized for workplace deaths involving substantial employer misconduct.  Congrats to all that testified in support at this bill as it has passed the committee.

*USMWF's main priorities are to offer support, guidance and resources to those that have been forever affected by preventable work related incidents. It is very hard for some of our family members to take the time to write or speak about their loved ones incident and how their life has forever changed. Many letters we receive are specifically written on behalf of our request.  We do have a few families who have asked not to share or alter information so please follow and take the TOU serious.  For more information regarding the Terms of Use click here.
