Hello Eastern Freestyle,
I wish I could highlight all of the awesome results of our Eastern Division athletes from States to Eastern Champs to NorAM Finals to Juniors and finally at the Grand Prix event! But, alas, we are still charging through Championship season and the show must go on. Congrats to all the athletes, coaches and programs. GO EAST COAST!
Young Gun and Junior EAST COAST Championships
Invite List:
- The invite list is still active, and we will work to keep the alternates posted as cancellations are sure to come in for one reason or another.
- Please note: Cancellations for the event should come directly to Eastern Freestyle via the refunds@easternfreestyle.org
email ASAP and we will disseminate the information accordingly.
- The event organizer will have up to the minute information at registration as of Thursday morning.
Coach/Program Director Information:
- Please keep us up to date with any changes to your team roster for the event by emailing Deb Newson or a text works, too!
- Email Stephanie Vanfleet a list of your program's coaches for the event. Please be sure US Ski and Snowboard memberships are current.
- Be a good role model of sportsmanship at the event. This is a youth sporting event, please act accordingly to ensure the best experience for your athletes.
Event Information:
- Sunday River Event Management has updated the training times on the event info sheets in response to coaches' feedback.
- Let the Event Information Sheets be a guide to making your plans for the weekend. There are all kinds of fun events and special offers for the participants and their families.
Parent Information:
- The best thing you can do at the event is to volunteer, tell your child to have fun and have good snacks in your backpack.
- Let the coaches coach. Let the athletes compete. Give them some space.
- An athlete had to remind a parent this year, "Mom, it's MY RUN." Don't be that parent: "Stay in your lane."
- Always remember, we are lucky to have the resorts in the East and their commitment to our events. Be patient. Be understanding. Be forgiving. Be appreciative.
- If you are having a hard time controlling your emotions, go take a lap. (This helps.)
- BANQUET TICKETS FOR PARENTS: They will be available for purchase at registration from Thursday until Saturday MORNING.

Whiteface Spring Bumps and Jumps

Event Info Sheet
We haven't had the ability to get a spring event off the ground for a couple of years in the East, but we are all systems go at Whiteface. Please register ASAP!
We are excited to get our A skiers back to work in the East, and this will also be a great event for our B skiers that are moving up to the A's next year. Don't miss out! Please email Mike Kirchner if you would like to volunteer.
