2019 NACHC Policy & Issues Forum

During the week of March 25th, Kentucky’s community health center leadership and advocates headed to Washington, D.C. for NACHC’s Annual Policy & Issues Forum. On Thursday, March 28th, they headed to Capitol Hill to meet with their Members of Congress to encourage them to support long-term, stable funding for health centers across the country. They shared their stories and why continued funding for federally qualified health centers is critical to the health of residents of Kentucky, the USA and its territories

Juniper Health Dental Team Volunteering to Provide Free Oral Healthcare
Juniper Health Lee County Dental Hygienist Linsey Campbell and Dental Assistant Teresa Brandenburg recently volunteered at the Spring 2019 Kentucky Mountain Mission & Youth Haven Bible Camp Dental Clinic. This yearly event provides FREE dental care to the community.

In October 2018, Molly Bradshaw, DNP, FNP-BC at First Choice Immediate Care in Columbia contributed as an author in a COPD and Asthma Update supplement to The Journal of Family Practice. The publication included resources on treatment options for children and adults with asthma, COPD management in the primary care setting, recent developments in COPD treatments, and the diagnostic and management challenges as they relate to asthma-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease overlap.
