Muddy trail conditions and closures
Expect to find muddy conditions when the weather warms and melts the recent snow. Stick to paved trails when conditions are especially muddy, and if you do come across mud, always walk or ride directly through it, not around it.
At times, a decision may be made to temporarily close a trail or park. Know before you go: check our website for closures, sign up to receive alerts, and follow us on social media

Photo of the Month
Olive demonstrates that Love ‘em Leash ‘em applies to domestic feline visitors too! Playing duel roles as potential predator and prey, keeping cats leashed is a safety and natural resource protection must. Cats, by nature, want to hunt birds, mice, lizards, snakes, and anything that moves. Cats may be startled or scared by another visitor’s dog, elk, deer, and coyotes. If your cat takes off, it could become prey. If you cat trees itself, you may never get it down.

Have you taken any great photos in Jeffco Open Space parks recently? Send them to us at jeffcoparks@jeffco.us or on social media, and you could be featured in next month's Panorama!
