Waterfall Wander

Following up from last years successful Brisbane Valley Walking Challenge, this July we will walk the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk – starting at Lake Baroon, past Kondalilla and Mapleton Falls to the Gheerulla Recreation area, and back to Lake Baroon – about 80km over 6 days. The walk includes a lake, a gorge, mountains, rainforest, spectacular lookouts, and 4 waterfalls. It will be amazing!

Sunday 7 July – Friday 12 July

We will be sleeping at the same place for whole trip with transport to and from walking points each day. Places are limited so book soon to make sure you don’t miss out.

Walker Registration $700
Support Crew Registration $580

We are focusing our fundraising efforts in three ways. With your registration you will receive details to help you raise these much-needed funds for Zambia.

  • To raise $10,000 towards the Ukufuma program that supports Eagles Wings students to pursue further education and training after finishing school.
  • To raise $10,000 towards the education program focusing on primary and secondary students.
  • To find 10 new on-going supporters.

Saturday 30 November - Monday 9 December, with 7 cycling days, Auckland to Christchurch inclusive of a rest / travel day,

Team options - Two cyclist teams, at either a 27km/hr or 20km/hr pace, or driver/navigator, or ground support crew.

Cyclist Registration $1750 AUD
Support Crew Registration $1050 AUD
Children $850 AUD
(NZ participant $300 AUD less)

If you bring a new cyclist to the event (that is someone who has never before joined us on one of our events), we will offer you a $150 discount!

Our target is to raise $50,000 towards the Education Program and 25 new on-going supporters at $15/month.

Jo's Birthday Ride

Hi, my name is Joayn Hedges and this year I will turn 53. To assist in my denial of turning another year older, I’m having a birthday bash and you're invited to come along for the ride! This event will combine my love of exercise with a cause that I feel very passionate about.

I am going to cycle 5300km around Queensland.  Leaving from Victoria Point and heading clockwise.

Yes, five thousand three hundred kilometres. I will be riding for up to 15 hours per day aiming to hit 250km each day, for 21 days.

You may think because I have decided on such a huge ride that I am an elite athlete. The reality is I am just an ordinary person ... someone attempting to achieve the extraordinary for my friends in Zambia.

In keeping with the 53 theme, 5300km for my 53rd birthday, I would very much like to raise $53,000 and sponsor 53 kids

I have had the privilege of visiting Eagles Wings campus in Ndola, Zambia, Africa and the one thing that stood out was that the students were so keen to learn. The school is making such a difference in the lives of these students, their families and the local community.
