The Congolese Evangelical Alliance formulates strategy of reconciliation
Under the leadership of WEA PRN and Micah Global, in mid-February, a conference of the country's Evangelical Alliance took place in Goma, DRC, at which representatives of various networks formulated a strategy for reconciliation between the divided tribes.
An integral part of this strategy is the creation of a peace and reconciliation training centre to be built by PRN. The strategic location still has to be found and the training material translated into French and, if necessary, into the main tribal languages of the Congo. Financial requirements for the translation and publication of the first courses in French: 15.000, - Euro. Please pray for the decisions as to where the center should be.

Kishinev is accepted as a regional centre
With great gratitude we recognise the growing numbers of trainings offered in Kishinev, Moldova. The format has proven itself and can be easily multiplied especially in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Under the direction of Dr Vladimir Ubeivolc, PRN has formed a very competent team over the last year. This year again, two regional conferences are planned. The translation of the training material into the Romanian language is in progress. Expected costs: 32.000, - Euro for flights for participants from the East, accommodation and training, including working material.

Theology of peace appeared in Russian
The course in peace theology developed by Johannes Reimer has been published in Russian and is now being used in seminars in Russian-speaking countries. The translation of the course into the Ukrainian and other languages of the CIS has started. Financial requirement: 5.000, - Euro.

PRN training hub planned for South East Asia
The first training hub for Southeast Asia is scheduled for Vietnam in the second half of the year. The translation of the material for the first course in Vietnamese is largely completed. Editing and publication are pending, as well as the translation of the second course offered in August. Material costs: 5.000, - Euro.

School of Healing of Ethnic Wounds in Abidjan
From 24 July to 9 August, the Center for Healing Ethnic Wounds in Kigali is conducting training in Abidjan. PRN has committed to sponsoring at least three participants from French Africa in this training. Financial need: 9.000, - Euro.

Center for reconciliation in Zambia goes online
After a year of preparatory work, the Center for Peace and Reconciliation in Zambia goes online at the country's Evangelical University. Planned are the first courses for the second half of the year. Still open is the financing of the center. Financial requirement: 20,000 - Euro.

Community as mediation center
PRN Germany's offer to support churches in the development of community-centered mediation centres is well received. The first centres are scheduled to start operations in the summer of 2019. Christiane Wutschke has taken over the management of the corresponding training program.

The reconciliation process between Armenians and Turks in progress
Our efforts to intensify the reconciliation process between the Armenians, Turks, and Azerbaijanis are clearly showing fruits. In recent months, there has been a series of intensive talks on both sides. Particularly gratifying is the intensive help we are currently receiving from North America. The entire process is headed by Vladimir Ubeivolc, Moldova.

Animal-assisted trauma therapy in Ukraine is gaining shape
The PRN leader in Ukraine Oksana Gritzuita, Rivne reports that the Faculty of Psychology of the local university has signed the contract to train animal-assisted trauma therapists.
At the same time, through connecting efforts of our representative in Canada, Manuel Böhm, specialists from Canada have pledged to help Ukrainians to expand the program. The initiative is scheduled to start in March. Planned costs to set up the program: 15,000, - Euro.

BL4P is entering the third hot summer
Building Leaders for Peace ( BL4P) brings together young people in areas of tension around the world to peace camps. In 2019, the focus will be on Colombia. Enable a young person from the conflict zone to participate and thus support images of peace. Also our network partner, the Theological Seminar Bienenberg in Switzerland, organises a tour to Colombia. If you would like to take part in one of the two tours, please contact us.

Regional leadership appointed
In January, WEA appointed PRN Drs Nate and Christina Showalter, Hong Kong, as regional leaders of the growing Asian network. Pray for them and the members of their team. There is still a lack of structure and support, but the first projects have started and are a reason to thank.

Jana and Ben Hoppe prepare for their assignment in Toronto
Jana Hoppe, currently PA of the PRN director, and her husband Benjamin are preparing for their departure as missionaries to Canada. They will work in Toronto to build the first global training hub in close collaboration with Tyndale University. The Hoppes also like to visit your church community in Germany to present their future work. Please show your interest to the PRN headquarters.

Talks about the establishment of National Networks in progress
Peace networks are emerging in several Asian countries. Conferences are scheduled in Sri Lanka (February-March), Nepal (planned for May, possibly moving into the fall) and India (June). In these countries, PRN brings together all those involved and interested in peace and reconciliation from churches and ministries, commends their efforts, and provides assistance where necessary. Financial requirements for the conferences: 12 000, - Euro.

PRN Pakistan starts its work
16 Christian denominations and a number of ministries have joined PRN Pakistan. In March, the establishment of the first training center in the country and the first interfaith peace conference between warring Muslims and Christians is planned. Urgent need: translation of the training material in Urdu. Financial requirement: 6.000, - Euro.
