Our Fine Dining restaurant Blue has – true to its name – always welcomed dining guests to its navy blue tables with matching table cloths. To bring in a bit more light, we have upgraded and exchanged our furniture for lovely light beige weaved tables and chairs with matching grey cushions, a refreshing change.

Reef Research just got that much more exciting!
We are proud to introduce you to IMR - The Institute for Marine Research – a non-profit organization in Dauin aimed to conduct research on coastal marine ecosystems. IMR was initiated by Atmosphere Resorts in 2018 and is now managed by marine biologists Chelsea Waters and Rafael Manrique. IMR has officially commenced the “Dauin Long-Term Reef Monitoring Project”, a project very close to our hearts. The project uses scientific evidence to understand what endangers our coastal ecosystems, as well as to transform and encourage local efforts to ensure sustainable use and management of the ecosystems in Dauin.
Do you want to dig in and join in the research? Become a research assistant? A Divemaster? A Scuba Instructor? All of those? Within IMR, there is scope to sign up for short or long term programs – make sure to pass this on to people you know who may be keen on a change of career or a time out researching our reefs.

Pre-Dive Stretching at the Atmosphere Fitness center
Do your muscles complain after a full day of diving? Do you feel slightly hesitant to squeeze into your wetsuit in the morning? Not to worry, we have the perfect solution! Every day between 7.30 to 8am, we offer Pre-Dive stretch sessions to loosen your joints and warm up your muscles. The sessions are held by our yoga teachers or fitness trainers and held in our amazing outdoor warrior gym area – please book ahead at the Reception or Spa.

Meet our new January PADI Instructors
A 100% success rate on our January PADI IDC with Instructor Development Philippines. A massive congratulations to Rachel, Russ, Kong, Simon, Joe, Ana, Frank, Fredrikke, Emma, Joakim, Lai Ming Tao and Isa. What was very exciting is that we had the opportunity to host a few of the PADI Asia Pacific executives at the same time as the IDC program. A big thank you to Danny Dwyer and Roger Sun for conducting the instructor examination whilst they were here.

Frogfish February
It’s that time of the year again – Frogfish February graced us and as usual, we have a lot of cute frogfish around. From baby frogfish so small that you can barely see them, to colorful clown frogfish and giant frogfish trying to camouflage themselves against a sponge or rock. Our Dr Frogfish – Daniel Geary – is busy teaching the PADI Frogfish Specialist course, and guests come out of the water with mostly froggies on their SD cards! We expect the frogfish craze to last for another few months and we look forward to showing them to you when you come next.
