About the webinar:
Through this webinar, we seek to hear from those who can provide insights from the field about key socio-economic impacts of COVID-linked lockdown across different vulnerable groups (migrants, women, children, social backward groups). Frontline bureaucrats, NGOs and CBOs have had to find innovative ways to respond to pressing needs.
Participants will share experiences on how panchayats, and civil society, have responded to immediate needs related to health, food security, education, mobility, etc. How have specific segments of the population like women and children been affected? The lockdown has severely impacted livelihoods. How have labour market disruptions have affected unorganised workers and migrant workers in particular.
The webinar is intended as a platform for knowledge sharing, brainstorming about approaches and solutions, and visualising challenges in the coming weeks and months.
