Children at Stapleford Abbotts Primary Academy dressed as their favourite book characters to mark World Book Day.
From wizards, witches, and fairy-tale creatures to homemade originals like Greg from Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the creativity was endless.
Staff also dressed up and fully took part in the day showing their love for books and reading.
Each class celebrated their love of books through a range of exciting activities.
Classes were caught reading all over the school.
They also created fantastic selfie drawings of themselves in their costumes and children participated in their own book club where they discussed what they were reading with each other.
The older year groups also took time to go with a younger child to read with them.
Year 2 pupil Joe said: "Today is brilliant and such great fun."
Year 6 pupil Erin said: "Reading with the reception class was enjoyable and they really loved my book that I choose for them."
Year 3 and 4 teacher Sophie Wreford said: "The children had a fantastic day and were overjoyed at getting to choose their very own book to take home and immerse themselves in!"
