Access NI Enhanced Checks
 
Carrickfergus Community Forum is a registered Umbrella Body with Access NI. This means that we submit enhanced criminal record checks for community organisations in Carrickfergus. Access NI authorises umbrella bodies to provide these services to organisations.

Community Innovators Programme open for applications

 
The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland is delighted to announce the Community Innovators Programme has opened for applications thanks to funding from the Hospital Saturday Fund. The programme is free to access and is for organisations who would like support to explore and develop new solutions to a real world social challenge. The focus of this cycle will be on health and wellbeing related challenges. All organisations completing the programme will be eligible to apply for the Foundation's Social Innovation Seed Fund.

Information workshops will be held in Belfast, Omagh and Newry in March and details can be found here www.communityfoundationni.org

Groundwork NI supports launch of Tesco Centenary Fund

The Tesco Centenary Fund offers a unique opportunity to benefit communities in Northern Ireland. Projects must provide a significant benefit to communities across Northern Ireland. Community charity Groundwork is working in partnership with Tesco to deliver the Centenary Fund.  Find out more about how your organisation could apply for a shore of £100,000 from this years Tesco Centenary Fund in Northern Ireland.


Hedley Foundation

Supports small to medium sized charities which work with young people.  Most grants are of a capital or one-off nature, but the Trustees sometimes agree to help fund the introduction of new and innovative projects with a series of up to 3 annual grants.  Few grants exceed £5,000 and most go to charities where they can make an impact.   

Department for Communities (DfC): Historic Environment Fund


The Historic Environment Division is part of the Department for Communities and it’s aim is to ‘support and sustain vibrant communities and a strong economy through realising the significant, ongoing value of our historic environment’. The Department seeks to support works and activity aimed at: conserving heritage assets and increasing our knowledge and public awareness of the historic environment.  

Leathersellers Company Charitable Fund


Provide a wide range of funding to UK registered Charities, Educational Institutions and University Students.  The Small Grant Programme is a fast track grant assessment for one-off grants of up to £3,000. The Main Grants Programme is a far more thorough assessment for single and multiple year grants of £5,000 or more.

Irish Youth Foundation


Supports those working with disadvantaged children in Ireland.  For many years IYF has been particularly interested in supporting after school and homework clubs and youth empowerment programmes.  Their new 'The Next Step' Programme supports young people moving to second-level education.  

Comic Relief: Tech for Good


The Tech for Good programme was developed in response to the emerging need for charities in the UK to use technology to explore different approaches to delivering better services.  The current round will fund up to 13 digital projects with grants of up to £48,000 over a period of 9 months.
