Yep. It’s that time of year again. Love it or hate it, welcome to daylight savings time. Get ready to turn your clocks forward one hour this Saturday night in exchange for an extra hour of sunshine later in each day that follows.
While we’re thinking about setting our clocks, this is a good chance to remind us all about 10:02 Prayer. Just over a year ago, Pastor Eric asked us to commit to praying each day at 10:02 (AM or PM) as part of our ongoing pursuit for each one at Calvary to reach one person they know with the good news of Jesus:
10:02 Prayer: Get your phone out and set a daily alarm for 10:02. Then pray Luke 10:2 where Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Let's all ask God to send workers from Calvary to share the gospel here in Orange County and around the world, bringing in the harvest that He has prepared.
CHOW Prayer: As you pray at 10:02, also ask God to give you Courage, Heart, Opportunities, and Words to Say. We need boldness, love, chances to share and then the right words to say as we follow the Spirit’s leading.
Please commit to pray these prayers daily at 10:02. The important thing to remember is that God hears our prayers and will answer them as we lift up these requests in line with His will and ways.
So, remember to set your clocks ahead one hour and consider going to bed one hour early Saturday night. That way you’ll wake up refreshed and ready for a great Sunday at Calvary.
Blessings,
Pastor Trevor Behrns

P.S. There are also some great opportunities coming up to reach out and invite your friends, family, neighbors, classmates or coworkers to come hear the good news of Jesus:
