Booster News
WLNMB would like to wish our band & orchestra students the best as they begin their 2019 Festival experience! Perform to the best of your ability & we'll all be very proud of you!
Also, it's come to our attention that there are uniform garment bags hanging around in the classroom areas, including storage areas. Students, you need to take your garment bags home or store them in your locker! Parents, ask your students if they have their garment bags.
Our next meeting is coming up next week, Weds., Mar. 13, 7pm in the choir room. We'd love to see you there!
We are hosting a concession stand during MSBOA Festival and we'll need lots of help and donations for that. We're still looking for someone(s) to take over the Concessions chair role. If there is anyone interested in taking on this job, sooner is better than later so you can shadow our outgoing chairs, Joe & Katy Settecerri. You can let them know if you're interested by sending them an email: jksettecerri@msn.com. Additionally, the role of Booster president will be opening up at the end of next year at the very latest (sooner is better, though!) If you're looking for an opportunity to learn the ropes, let Beth Stockdale know, bstockdale812@comcast.net.

Concessions News
 Joe & Katy would like to thank everyone who's stepped up to help with our concession stand this weekend. Your donations and time are very much appreciated! Thank you so much!
We've learned that our current concessions chairs will be unable to continue in this role. We need someone to step in and take over the mantle from them. It's a big job, but it's very manageable. Please, reach out to Joe & Katy Settecerri if you're interested in learning the ropes with the goal of taking the reins from them, jksettecerri@msn.com.
WLNMB Sheet Sale Is Back!
We are again running our sheet sale, from now until April 12, with order pickups happening on April 25, 6-8pm in the Commons. There is a new website: www.topshelfsheets.com. The sheets are $40/set, any size. If you'd like them delivered to your house, delivery is $10/order, regardless of the number of sets ordered. Shipping is free if you have them shipped to the pickup event. (If you get orders from coworkers, please let them know about the pickup date and time if you won't be picking them up!) MSBOA Festival
MSBOA Festival is happening this weekend! Friday evening & Saturday, Mar. 8 & 9, WLN will be hosting Festival. Students and families should already have received performance times/information from their director; if you've not received it, please let your director know! Parents ARE welcome to watch the Festival performances, including the Sight Reading portion. If you've not watched that before, you're missing out. A little bit of magic happens in those very few moments and it's a really cool thing for parents to see. If you're signed up to work concessions during the time your student performs, just let your crew chief know that your student is performing & you should be able to go watch them perform.
Shuman Performing Arts Grant!
Each year, WLCSD offers students an opportunity to apply for a performing arts grant. The student must apply using their Google Student account, and they may only apply for a grant for one performing arts event. We encourage any student who could use the assistance to apply for this grant. You may find more information HERE. The deadline to apply is April 9!

Cookbooks
Hello music booster families! Thank you so much for all your support with our Music Booster Cookbook fundraiser! It was wildly successful. It seems we have more cook books left over than we should. Can you please contact Amy Walker and let her know if you have not received the books you ordered? I want to make sure everyone received what they purchased. Marching Band
Please mark your calendar for Tuesday, April 23. We will be having Marching Band Registration that evening. We don't have times worked out quite yet, but we'll let you know when we do. For incoming freshman and new marchers, there'll be an information meeting in the auditorium. For returning marchers, you'll simply need to come in and turn in your forms and payment(s). As is always the case, we will happily accept multiple, specifically post-dated checks for payments. Stay tuned for further details on those dates as well.
We finally have the official dates for our upcoming Disney trip! The WLN Marching Knights will be traveling to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl, from February 15-19, 2020. Please stay tuned for more information on a meeting sometime in April, deposits due, and a payment schedule for the trip. As always, please remember that SCRIP is the best way to earn money to put towards your student's band trips!

There will be no Scrip pickups 3/14. Please contact Missy to make alternate arrangements! What is Scrip? FAQ! Our Scrip program is an ongoing fundraiser. It runs all year, with order pickups on Thursday evenings in the Commons at WLN, 5:30p-6:30 Scrip is the ONLY way to accumulate fundraising funds specifically for your student! It's a great way to pay for camp,trips, lessons, or instrument repairs. Start accumulating your Scrip dollars now for those future big purchases! Please check out the Scrip page on our website for important enrollment information! We also have a new email address for Scrip questions/comments: wlnmusicboostersscrip@gmail.com Note: we can only accept cash or checks at the Scrip table.
